Catwalk 4 Cause: Walking the Runway for Furnish Hope

Nothing feels better than giving back to your home community. That’s exactly why I’m teaming up with Furnish Hope to raise money for families in need through an event I’m both excited and humbled to be a part of—Catwalk 4 Cause.

This charity fashion show will feature 10 men and 10 women hitting the runway in their best looks, all to support an incredible mission. I’ll be wearing both a black outfit and a white outfit (wish me luck out there!), but more importantly, every step we take on that runway helps transform empty houses into warm, welcoming homes.

Why Furnish Hope Matters

My connection with Furnish Hope goes way back. When I moved to Central Oregon in 2018, I quickly discovered their work and instantly believed in the mission. At the time, Furnish Hope was staging homes as a way to fund their nonprofit, and my team was proud to be one of their biggest customers. Each time we listed a home, we partnered with Furnish Hope—and it was about more than staging. It was about supporting something bigger.

Today, Furnish Hope has grown into Central Oregon’s only furniture bank, providing entire households with everything from couches and kitchen tables to beds and linens. For families transitioning out of shelters, recovery programs, or difficult life situations, these essentials make the difference between surviving and truly starting over.

As Megan, the founder of Furnish Hope, puts it:
“We don’t just deliver furniture—we deliver hope, dignity, and community. Every bed, every chair, every kitchen table is a reminder that families are not alone in their journey.”

Real Impact, Real Stories

Every month, Furnish Hope furnishes around 50 homes across Central Oregon and beyond. From Bend to Madras, Warm Springs to La Pine, and even disaster-struck areas like Burns, their reach extends far and wide.

One story that sticks with me is about a mom—let’s call her Lucy—who spent years in foster care, battled addiction, and eventually found her way to recovery. After years of hardship, she was finally able to regain custody of her kids. But when she moved into her apartment, she had nothing—no beds for the kids, no couch, no table to gather around.

Furnish Hope stepped in, filling her home with everything she needed. That Christmas, they even surprised her with a donated car wrapped in a giant red bow, giving her the ability to get her kids to school, appointments, and a brand-new chapter of life. That’s the kind of impact Furnish Hope has—and why I’m proud to walk the runway for them.

Closing Thoughts
